Reply to this meme by yelling "Words!" and I will give you five words that remind me of you. Then post them in your LJ and explain what they mean to you.

Words given to me by [info]soan :

Twitter- I use Twitter. I think it's fun, and allows for more light-hearted updating in the spur of the moment. It's fun to be able to post a quick update from my phone on the spot, or from my computer when a funny thought comes to mind. I don't feel that LJ is the place for updates like that.

King of Fighters- My first introduction the KoF characters was actually Capcom vs SNK 2. I had played very few SNK fighters (Samurai Shodown being one of my favorites at the time) because I didn't grow up around anyone with my interests in gaming, and CvS2 opened the door to other SNK games. Iori Yagami's character design was interesting to me, and I really enjoyed his brutal fighting style. After I learned more about him and Kyo Kusanagi, I started getting into the KoF games. I'm not a pro KoF player, but I love the series.

Earth Worm Jim-Hands down one of the best SEGA games ever. I have it downloaded on my Wii. This game holds a special place in my heart because it brings memories back of good times as a child, and not just gaming memories. The cartoon was also awesome AND LET'S GET THIS RELEASED ON DVD ALREADY YOU PUT SAM AND MAX ON DVD SO LET'S GET SOME EWJ LOVE OKAY THANK YOU BIG BUSINESS.

Guilty Gear-I was actually exposed to this series through a couple friends. I went over their place, and one of their friends was practicing GGXX in training mode. I was blown away by how smooth the graphics, character design, and music were. I've been playing ever since, and own every major installment in the series starting with the first GG for Playstation, and ending with Accent Core Plus. I don't own the XBox RPG-type game because I don't own an XBox.

That funny guy-I guess this means soan thinks I'm a funny guy? I mean I guess I'm pretty funny, so that's cool.

From the Earth he crawled...

Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Serenity, Alien, 2001—there is a long list of movies and TV shows that take place in space. Which is your favorite?

View 501 Answers

Only because I never took things like futuristic TV, I'd have to say Cowboy Bebop. Good show, but without all the "ZOMGFUTURE" of a real space show.

What is your favorite old-school video game?

Like everyone else on my F-List I gotta break this down by genre:

Fighting - Samurai Spirits/Showdown

Platformer - Super Mario Bros 3, Star Tropics (sorta a platformer).

Racing - I think the game was called Top Gear for the SNES. Can't tell you too much about the game play, but I LOVED the music.

Sports - Those boxing sim games you always see at arcades like D&B. Not a big sports game guy.

RPG - Chrono Trigger

Brawler - Splatterhouse games!

Puzzle - Puzzle Fighter

Adventure - Legacy of Kain games

Rythm - Every DDR before Super Nova.

What totally got you into Hokuto no Ken??

Honestly I had watched it a few times when I was a teenager, heard about it through one of my high school friends (need to remember to find Derick...), and appreciated it for its violence.

But what REALLY made me like it? What made me buy a shirt with the big dipper on it, because the pattern on the chest matched Kenshiro's scars?

It was the games. Specifically Fighting Mania. If you have never played this game then you are missing out. For some reason it just makes me want to go out into a broken down civilization, and create my own brand of bloody justice. Especially the battle between Kenshiro and Toki ("Turn your sorrow into anger...and LIVE ON!" My personal mantra at times).

It just made me realize how incredibly badass and epic it all is. Toki, a man ravaged by the nuclear fallout, sacrificing himself to try and stop his brother, Raoh. Oh MAN!! Kenshiro got me interested in the series, but Toki made me love it.

What's the worst job you've ever had?

View 501 Answers

I gotta say it was working at an arcade, hands down. Yeah I pretty much had free reign over all the games (that's when I ended up playing SCII like a champ and polishing my DDR/ITG skills). Plus the people I worked with were all pretty cool and it made my summer more enjoyable having met them but, to quote Randall from Clerks, "This job would be great if it wasn't for the customers."

Most of the children were AWFUL, spoiled little brats that thought everything had top stop until they were satisfied. I had never really hated children that much until I worked at an arcade.

What Justin Means

You are fair, honest, and logical. You are a natural leader, and people respect you.

You never give up, and you will succeed... even if it takes you a hundred tries.

You are rational enough to see every part of a problem. You are great at giving other people advice.

You are a very lucky person. Things just always seem to go your way.

And because you're so lucky, you don't really have a lot of worries. You just hope for the best in life.

You're sometimes a little guilty of being greedy. Spread your luck around a little to people who need it.

You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong.

You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know.

You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do.

You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life.

You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home.

You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.

You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.

You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.

You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.

You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.

Not that far off, actually. I'd almost say it's 99.9% accurate.

We do. Taken from mature
You are in a mall when the zombies attack. You have:

1. one weapon.
2. one song blasting on the speakers.
3. one famous person to fight alongside you.

Weapon can be real or fictional, you may assume endless ammo if applicable. Person can be real or fictional.

1. I'd keep it simple. I'd take any useful melee weapon I could find but, if I brought one with me, I'd want a real katana.

2. Metallica's tribute to Kim Peterson's (better known as King Diamond) band Mercyful Fate. Ya know, the megamix of songs they threw into one epic track. It's also called Mercyful Fate.

3. Well...I guess I'd have to say Dan McNinja.

The Singing Shark

What's your nickname, and how did you get it?

View 501 Answers

NNY. Most of your have probably read Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, and if not you should read it.  Anywho, Johnny is the main character, and claims his friends all call him NNY. My nickname is actually self-given, so maybe it doesn't count. Buuuuut, I gave myself the nickname one day while playing in the local arcade. I hate putting my actual initials into a game because my initials are lame. Then it came to me: NNY. It was fitting, since most of the games I played were violent fighters. No one actually calls me NNY, and no one really knows I use that handle. So...maybe it's not a real nickname after all...whoops.

A meme made by me!

From the Earth he crawled...
But was inspired by this web comic feed!

Leave a comment doing the following: take a song(s), and compress its lyrics using proper English. Also, give the title of the song(s) you compress! Then (if you want) post this meme in your journal.

Here's my example.

Ludacris, Get Back:

Through a combination of onomatopeia and questioning (in that order), Ludacris is trying to find out why you're talking shit directly into his ear.

He then warns you to back away because you don't know him that well, and insists that he is in fact not playing around.

Luda is also startled by sudden movements, as he then threatens to knock you out if you make one false move. He again warns you to back away because you don't know him that well.

He also came, saw, and hit someone directly in the jaw.

Step 1: Put your iPod /Tunes or MP3 player on random.
Step 2: Post the first line(s) from the first 20 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.

Step 4: Strike out the songs when someone guesses correctly.
Step 5: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING

From [info]luminous_manic. Comment and I'll list seven of your interests for you to explain in an LJ post.

His picks:

1. shingo yabuki- None other than KoF's loveable scamp, of course! I first got into playing KoF in early '05, and the first game I touched was '99. I must say that it was a great way to start off! I played through as a few characters, and Shingo quickly became a favorite. Who doesn't love a guy who falls down and does damage? Since then, after owning and playing various KoF's, he's become a more solid character.

2. six-string samurai- An awesome independent film! If you like surfabilly/rockabilly music, Buddy Holly, Kung Fu, and the movie The Road Road Warrior, you'll love Six-String Samurai. Highly recommended!

3. dr mcninja-One of the only web comics I read. It was first brought to my attention by [info]janegray when she posted the story about the McNinja Burger in her LJ. Since then, I've been hooked!

4. soul coughing-A band I like. I first heard their music when I was 15, and Cartoon Network used to air cool stuff. They did a Looney Tunes video to the Soul Coughing song "Rolling".

5. zombie ninjas-Once just a hope in my mind that zombie ninjas would be created in some story somewhere made real by Dr McNinja. There are two fictional things i love, zombies and ninjas (in that order!), and now they have been synergized.

6. your mom-Well...who DOESN'T love your mom?

7. ska-Just a kind of music that I happen to like. I've always liked it. Sorry. =P

Dr McNinja
Thanks to [info]drhastings, and his web comic, Dr McNinja, I came across this fine (hehe) spiritual publication about the evils of Dungeons and Dragons.

Now..on to the meme!

Comment and I will give you a letter. Find ten of your favorite things that begin with that letter and post them in your journal.

[info]luminous_manic game me the letter I.

This was kind of hard, since I really don't have many interests this far down the alphabet. =P

1. Iori Yagami (der)

2. In the Groove, the dancing game that's got better music than DDR. It's good if you want crazy cardio workouts, because the step patterns can get ridiculous.

3. Instant foods. I love to cook, but only when I have someone to cook for. Thank goodness for Ramen and Voila! meals.

4. Inner reflection. What better way to get a perspective on life, and all the whatnots that go with it, than by taking a step back, and looking at things from a detached point of view?

5. Idiots. Yes, idiots are an amusing part of anyone's life, and they're fun to read about in the news.

6. Um...gah! I can't think of anymore things I like that start with the letter I. Sorreh. ><;
